Who is WordShake?

My name is Sophie. I’m a trained translator and passionate about my job. Having developed my expertise over close on 15 years working for two translation agencies in Louvain and then Brussels, I’m now ready to spread my wings in this new personal venture. Ever attentive to detail and in love with the French language, I delight in racking my brain to find the most appropriate choice of phrasing for a particular subject area and target audience. And thanks to my considerable experience in translation agencies, you can count on me to meet your deadlines and terminology requirements.

Who is WordShake for?

Do you have a document to translate from Dutch, English or Italian to French? Whether it’s a promotional brochure, internal communication or press release, a website to be localized or a text of a more technical nature, simply leave it to me. I also offer a proof reading service for documents already translated or written in French.

I’m a mother of two children and love our time spent together as a family. In any remaining free time I lose myself in a book or enjoy Nordic walking in the forest. In no particular order, I also like Italy, eating out, day trips around and about and cooking for friends and family... in short, I make the most of life!
